at the Harry Chapin Rainbow Stage, Huntington
Just Wild About Harry - a tribute to Harry Chapin - is an evening of Harry's songs performed by a host of Long Island musicians. Part of the evening is to bring awareness of the work of the Harry Chapin Food Bank / Long Island Cares. All of Harry's hits, and some lesser-known 'deep cuts,' will highlight his songwriting skills and have you singing along.

GFR will be playing all afternoon on September 19, and Friday night, October 16, at The Twisted Cow Distillery. Come by and hang with us as we turn out our signature eclectic mix of forgotten favorites of the 60s and 70s, and lots of surprise tunes from... let's see... the entirety of the past century! If you know us, you know that there's nothing that we won't put our own spin on. And if you don't know us, then there's another reason to find out why we've been entertaining Long Island for 17 years.

GFR will be heading out to the Montauk Music Festival for our 14th year! We can assure you that everyone will be having a great time dancing and singing along for three wonderful, perfect Montauk days! If you've never been to the festival, we highly recommend you book yourselves a place to stay and join GFR and the other 100-or-so acts that perform all weekend long in the bars, coffee shops, restaurants, outdoor stages, sidewalks... just about everywhere. It's a blast!

We are honored to be asked back each year to help entertain the crowds at this amazing outdoor art show, along with several other great bands. GFR plays each year on the WUSB Music Stage. You can listen to music and visit the booths filled with original paintings, prints, photography, ceramics, pottery, woodwork, glassware, artisan created jewelry, handmade crafts, decorations, clothing, and so much more!
Join us for a relaxing Sunday afternoon at the West Hempstead Public Library. We will be playing a mix of 60's & 70's pop, and we'll probably throw in a few 'out of left field' tunes that will make everyone say, "I love that song, but I haven't heard it in ages!"
2023 January 15 LONG ISLAND MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT HALL OF FAME,
Stony Brook, NY
Grand Folk Railroad will be taking the stage at the new LIMEHoF museum from 3-4PM. Come and check out the brand new museum featuring displays of original musical instruments, famous awards, apparel, and other memorabilia from many of Long Island’s favorite artists. And then take a break to join us in the theater for an hour of GFR-flavored favorites. The museum is open from Noon to 5PM.
